Located in the scenic Elgin Valley, just an hour from Cape Town, we offer an authentic farm experience complete with wholesome food, picturesque views, and a chance to unwind in nature.

Run by Cath and Selborne Boome, who carry on the family legacy, Cheverells Farm is a testament to the Boome family’s passion for sustainable farming and hospitality. What started as a traditional apple farm has grown into a destination where farm-to-fork dining and memorable experiences come together.

Once an old apple pack shed transformed by Cath, the Cheverells Farm Shed is a charming space that houses a country café, gift shop, wellness studio, and glass greenhouse nursery.

Our café embraces a farm-to-fork ethos, offering a range of seasonal dishes that reflect the bounty of the land. We use as many ingredients from the farm as possible, ensuring every meal celebrates the flavors of the season. Visitors can also indulge in our Sunday Harvest Lunches or enjoy a leisurely coffee with a slice of homemade cake by the fireplace in winter.

 

 

Throughout the year, we host a variety of unique events, from high teas during the Elgin Open Gardens, to Freedom Day Trail Runs, Food and Wine Pairing Evenings, and weddings. Our space is also perfect for workshops, retreats, and corporate functions, blending the rustic charm of the farm with modern comforts.

For those seeking a longer stay, our two beautifully decorated farm cottages provide a peaceful retreat with breathtaking views over the orchards. Whether you’re here for a weekend getaway or an extended escape, the cottages offer self-catering comfort and the perfect spot to recharge
